Content:
There are twenty vowels and twenty –four consonants in the English language. Vowels are: i:, I, ǽ, e, u: Λ etc
Consonants are: b, d, g, p, t, k, m ,n, ŋ, ∫ etc
/ǽ/ - hand, band, sand, lack, bad, etc
/ŋ/- sing, sink, bang, ring,etc

Content:
A phrase is a group of meaningful words that has a headword and a modifier but without a finite verb. The clause was originally a sentence but has lost the status of a sentence and has combined with another clause to form a sentence.
The woman in white dress is my mother.
As soon as he came in, I left for school.
The words in bold print in sentence 1 are a phrase while the one in sentence 2 is a clause.
